AUDITION NOTICE

The Folkestone Performing Arts Centre [FPAC] will hold auditions on 26 February 2022 from 1:00pm at the Sunflower House, Foord Road for an Ensemble Workshop on 2 & 3 April 2022.  FPAC is interested in creating an ensemble of local performing artists for future projects. The audition will consist of reading from a provided script and group exercises.   

The Ensemble Workshop will be a two day [3 hours each day] workshop to provide an opportunity to create a group of like-minded performing artists interested in creating new work in Folkestone and will be led by Matthew Hahn. 

The Workshop is a paid opportunity.

If you are an actor [professional or non-professional] or someone interested in acting and is local to Folkestone, please email your CV & headshot to Matthew Hahn at folkestonepac@gmail.com.  This is an open call and everyone who applies will be considered.  FPAC encourages all local performing artists to get in touch even if they are not available for this audition or workshop as future projects are in the pipeline.

The Folkestone Performing Arts Centre was proud to take part in the Global Day for Climate Justice held next to the Town Council in Folkestone.

FPAC, in association with the Making Waves Art Festival, facilitated in school workshops addressing plastic use with the aim of creating or restarting / supporting school eco-councils.  As part of the workshops, students had the opportunity to create upcycled pieces of art for the November 2021 festival in Folkestone.

On the 14th of August 2021, the students of Canterbury College and St. Stella Maris R C Primary School came together to create something incredible, ‘A Little Panto By The Sea’. A newly devised piece of theatre on the topic of Plastic Pollution. The piece was performed at the Amphitheatre in Lower Leas Park and each creative put their all into creating the ‘Guerilla Pantomime’ production. You can find out more out the creatives below.

A Little Panto By The Sea was Co-Directed by Rebecca Bogue & Matthew Hahn, with André Veríssimo as the puppet coach.
